My neighbor has a pool heat pump right up against my fence. The fan makes so much noise I can't enjoy my backyard. Are there some kind of noise deadening device I can tell her to get?

Dear Susan: Thank you for writing to me. The first thing is it should be check by a technician. They shouldn't be loud. Maybe the fan blade is out of balance and it is causing the heater to vibrate. If all checks out OK and the noise is the compressor they make a insulated jacket that goes around the compressor. That helps a bit. I think they are $100.00. I hope that helps. Sincerely,
